The guidance here has been researched by Phunky Foods in response to questions from many schools and LA’s who are seeking to fund the Phunky Foods programme. We have done our best to get all the details correct but the summary nature of this guidance means that we may have missed some things so please check with your own school/LA.
Many thanks, Sorrell - On behalf of the PF team
Most funding, including all standards funding and direct schools grants, is now fully devolved to schools. The majority of schools will fund the Phunky Foods programme. There are four specific grants that could be used to fund the Phunky Foods programme.
Local Authorities may choose to directly fund the Phunky Foods programme on behalf of their schools, taking advantage of central LA discounts using funding from ELC 122 or School Meals 105a.
Where LA’s cannot fully fund the programme centrally, they can choose to promote the programme to their schools through a partnership agreement with Phunky Foods, taking advantage of the cost savings made through economy of scale and centrally organised training and support.
Our policy is not to exclude access to the Phunky Foods healthy eating and exercise programme on the grounds of cost. Occasionally, we are fortunate in having limited external funds from our corporate partners which may be used to partly fund the programme. Please contact the office to see if you are eligible.
