The PhunkyFoods Curriculum is a 36 week rolling programme of healthy eating and physical activity covering 7 year groups in primary school from Early Years through to Key Stage 2. It also includes the Phunky Club, a specifically designed package to deliver healthy eating and physical activity lesson plans to children within a club setting. The lesson plans for all aspects of the PhunkyFoods package have been developed by Registered Nutritionists and checked for both quality and content by specialist teachers.
PhunkyFoods also has a specifically designed Special Needs curriculum designed for Key Stage 1 and upper and lower Key Stage 2 children.
The PhunkyFoods lesson plans aims to teach the children key health eating and physical activity messages in a light hearted and fun manner through art, drama, music, play and hands on experience with food.
PhunkyFoods lesson plans are all fully supported by a range of resources including interactive big books, interactive DVD material, photo cards and posters which all schools receive on registration to the PhunkyFoods programme.
Everything a school needs to run the PhunkyFoods lessons is found in their resource box. Many resources are produced by PhunkyFoods however we also use resources which have been sourced from extremely reputable charities and organisations such as British Meat Education Service, The School Milk Project and Oxfam.
