I’m not sure another committee is truly the answer; but I do know we need to keep the issue high on the public agenda that’s for sure. There is so much fabulous work currently being commissioned by public health teams in Councils across England – in both preventative and treatment programmes. But these will take time to embed and impact on childhood obesity rates – it certainly isn’t going to happen overnight; but I do believe we are starting to make some good progress in helping to educate children and their families across the country through a variety of different programmes.
